Calculate epoxy resin quantity

Please enter decimal separators as "point" and not as "comma"!

cm / Length
cm / Width
cm / Height

 kg (Required quantity)

Calculate epoxy resin quantity easily!

To make it easier for you, we have prepared this epoxy resin calculator for you. Enter the length, width and height (layer thickness) in cm in the respective fields and you will have the required amount of epoxy resin in kg for your project! Now you can simply select the next highest quantity in the category, Epoxy-resin-and-Hardener and conveniently buy it online.

How exactly does the epoxy resin calculator work?

The calculation with the epoxy resin quantity calculator is just as accurate as if you were to use a pocket calculator with the resin quantity formula (volume) "length X width X height" and divide the result by 0.00113 (epoxy density)! Remember, however, that you will never get everything out of the supplied canisters and bottles, Measuring cups and Mixing buckets as well as the measuring cups and mixing buckets used, and most objects are difficult to measure! The material to be coated also plays a major role. Is it absorbent, such as wood or a concrete or screed floor, or are you coating a non-absorbent work of art made of metal, glass, silicone, etc. ....?

It is better to calculate too much epoxy resin than too little!

If, for example, you want to coat a wooden table, a garage floor or a workshop with epoxy resin, the substrate is usually absorbent to highly absorbent! In this case, we recommend allowing for 5% to 15% more than the casting resin calculator calculates. If you are calculating an ART object, a sculpture or even a silicone mould, this is not absorbent and 2% to 5% more epoxy resin with hardener is sufficient. However, you can also pre-treat the workpiece or the floor with our epoxy resinPrimer beforehand to prevent suction and material loss and to provide even better adhesion.

It is always better to buy more epoxy resin than too little. It would be a great pity if you only bought the exact amount calculated with the resin calculator and then realised in the middle of casting or coating that you had bought too little and had nothing left in reserve!

The resin quantity calculator is set to an average epoxy resin density of 1.13 g/cm³ at 20°C.However, the volume or density of epoxy resin and hardener together changes only slightly with temperature fluctuations. You therefore do not need a different epoxy calculator for different temperatures.
